Lilian Baland: I have no clue; haven't been there in thirty years, or more. The dichotomy certainly did not die a hundred years ago; it was still very present in 1980s. In 1940s women took control, or continued holding it, when most men were drafted into Wehrmacht. I am not sure about Poland proper.
